College Street

The NSW Government has removed the College Street cycleway to make way for more buses and cars due to the construction of light rail along George Street.

Between 2010 and 2015, the College Street cycleway along the eastern edge of Hyde Park provided a north-south link from Oxford Street to Macquarie Street for more than 2,000 riders each weekday.

The NSW Government has constructed alternative cycleways along Castlereagh Street (between Hay and Liverpool Streets) and Liverpool Street (between Castlereagh and Kent Streets).

Completion of the Castlereagh Street cycleway to King Street has been deferred until light rail construction is complete.

The College Street cycleway was fully removed in September 2015.
